You are cordially invited to attend the IDEAL House demo day where we showcase the achievements of students involved with 3rd year and final-year projects in this inaugural year of the EECE IDEAL House. If you are considering projects in 2008 on the IDEAL House you are especially encouraged to attend.

The demo will kick off:
When:    1pm, Friday, October 12
Where:  at the IDEAL House

So where is the IDEAL House located? If you haven't yet spotted it its the portable accommodation (donga) seated at the southern end of car part P14 (large parking bay south of the Civil/Mech engineering building) alongside Fairway entrance No. 4. You can see pictures of it on the IDEAL House WWW (http://idealhouse.ee.uwa.edu.au/)

One of the demos which will run include the computer, micro-controller and vision system. I have also been promised a demo of the voice-activated system and camera gesture recognition. And there may be others ...

To make the day more memorable we will also have tea and biscuits so you can relax, look over the house, check out has been done, see what is there and discuss possible projects or ideas you may have with the students and staff there. REMEMBER! The IDEAL House is your (the student) project and what you will see are 100% student effort, and we are hoping for the same in 2008 but only you can make it happen.

So we hope to see you there and please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.. If you can make it just turn up (no need to RSVP) but remember it can easily get crowded so your patience is appreciated (if there are that many people, demos should run in a loop so you don't miss out).
